![[image]](http://i22.tinypic.com/16lflsz.png) #001. Werewolves generally have two names; the ones they go by in human societies and their actual wolf ones. Despite various misconceptions, their wolf names are pronounceable in English and are often translated from English to Wolf Tongue and back again.
#002. There is no strict social hierarchy among werewolves. To put it simply, each family is a ‘pack’ of sorts (with the Alpha male and female being the parents, the Betas being the eldest child and their spouse, for example), although families do meet regularly (in secret, of course) to discuss things of importance.
#003. As a general rule, werewolves and humans are civil to each other, mainly because humans do not (as of yet) know about the existence of werewolves. It is common for human and werewolf children to go to school together, and werewolves are thoroughly educated on ‘How To Behave Like A Human’ from a young age.
#004. Werewolves are usually named after something to do with the sky or after an important figure from wolflore. A few of these figures include Patrick der Betrüger, Mortimer der Mörder and Laila der Wachsam.
#005. Contrary to popular belief, werewolves do hold positions of importance within human societies. There are werewolf politicians, werewolf lawyers—and there is even a werewolf within the government: Monday De Chiel (Malcien).
#006. Der Fest von der Mond (the Festival of the Moon) is the main celebratory event of the werewolf calendar, held on the waning moon of every December and every full moon in January. It celebrates the end to one year and the beginning of another, and it is also the event where courting and mating between couples takes place.
#007. Werewolves often refer to each other with wolf names and the suffix ‘Freund’ (if the wolf is a male) or ‘Freundin’ (if the wolf is a female) added on the end. An example of this is Payal-Freund (translated into Payal-Friend, a term of affection - Freund because Payal is a male) and Salo-Freundin (translated into Salo-Friend, the difference is Freundin because Salo is a female). #008. Family members have names for each other as well. Below is a list of these names:Bruder - brother, Brüder is plural. Schwester - sister, Schwestern is plural. Mutter - mother. Vater - father. Kusin - male cousin. Kusine - female cousin. Vettern - more than one cousin. Tante - aunt, Tanten is plural. Onkel - uncle, Onkels is plural. Großmutter - grandmother, Großmütter is plural. Großpapa - grandfather, Großpapas is plural. Sohn - son, Söhne is plural. Tochter - daughter, Tötcher is plural. Nichte - niece, Nichten is plural. Neffe - nephew, Neffen is plural. #009. Wolf Tongue originates from German and a lot of it is German with Romanian and Transylvanian words and phrases thrown into it, hence the similarities with the German language. However, despite the words being the same, they are spoken differently with pronunciation varying greatly between the two variations of the language.
#010. Terms of respect are also given to werewolves of higher ranks or when one speaks to someone they don’t know. These terms are below:Herr - sir, Herren is plural. Puffmutter - madam. Fräulein - miss. #011. Werewolves have three forms: their human form, their four-legged wolf form and their actual ‘werewolf’ form. The werewolf form itself is much like a bipedal wolf, except the werewolf is stronger and faster than an average wolf. They vary in size and strength, but share characteristics of their human counterparts: for example, a werewolf with brown hair would have a brown coat in wolf and werewolf form.
